Our Journey Since 1995

From humble beginnings to becoming a leading arts organization in Singapore, our journey is defined by passion, dedication, and a commitment to musical excellence.

1995

Founding of SMAA

Established by a group of visionary musicians and educators with the goal of promoting classical music education in Singapore's schools and communities.

2005

Expansion to Cultural Exchange

Launched our first international cultural exchange program, partnering with music institutions in ASEAN countries to foster regional collaboration.

2012

Youth Music Festival Launch

Introduced the annual Singapore Youth Music Festival, providing a platform for young musicians to showcase their talents to national audiences.

2018

Established the SMAA Artist Development Fund to provide financial support and mentorship to emerging Singaporean musicians and composers.
